Mary Kathleen Kopecky

Kathy graduated from University of Houston and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

She was previously married to Robert Charles Kopecky. Kathy had a career as a purchasing manager at

Hewlett Packard and later worked for Southwest Airlines in Dallas, Texas as a business analyst.

She was a member of a crochet group that makes blankets for injured veterans and children in treatment for cancer. She was also a member of and volunteer at Prince of Peace, Catholic Church where she volunteered at the food pantry. At Barbara Bush library she volunteered teaching literacy.

Kathy had a fierce passion for her family and her church. Other hobbies included photography and travel.

She was pre-deceased by her mother Helen M. Gallagher Fleming, father John M. Fleming and brother Joe P. Fleming

She was survived by her son Paul Kopecky and wife Laura, daughter Shari Kopecky, granddaughter Haley Kopecky Housel and husband Reece, great grandsons Jude, Parker and Owen Housel, her brother Jim Fleming, nephew Jim Fleming and niece Amy Miller, brother John Fleming, Winnie Fleming, widow of late brother Joe Fleming, niece Julia Fleming and nephew Jon Paul Fleming, sister Roseanne Dubbin, niece Christine Ledwell, brother Steve Fleming and wife Beth, nephew Joshua Fleming and niece Michaela Fleming, stepmother Mary Fleming and cousin Sue Ann Gallagher Scaffone and husband Ron.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 31st, 2019, 5pm to 8pm. Rosary service is 6pm to 7pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service is to be held on Thursday August 1st, 2019 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Graveside service to be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 2pm to 3pm.
