Mary Jane Cook

Mary Jane Owens (Smith) Cook, 91, of Houston, Ingram, and San Antonio, Texas went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from her earthly home. Born in Houston, Texas on August 10, 1927 to Clarence Lee and Margaret E. Owens.

She was married for forty-nine years to Jack Crawford Smith beginning 1947 until his passing from a long fight with cancer.

She was married for fourteen years to Thomas Edwin Cook, M.D. beginning 2004.

She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Edwin Cook, M.D.: daughter, Amy J. McBride (Dick); sons: Thomas E. Cook, Jr. (Patricia), Kim A. Cook (Bill), Kerry L. Cook (Janet); grandsons: David N. Cook, Keven McBride, Kurt McBride; granddaughter: Brittany Walters; and multiple great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that contributions be made to M.D Anderson Hospital, Baylor Medical College, or Texas Children’s Hospital instead of flowers.
