Marvin L. Gaskamp

In 1957, Marvin married his wife Wylma Demeritt Gaskamp, and founded Property Management Inc. An oil and real estate company. Their business-like approach was present in the working ranch they owned outside Austin. While ranching was a big part of Marvin's life, he also enjoyed fishing and playing a hand of poker with his friends. Marvin was a kind, generous, selfless and truly loved his family, his ranch and his dog "Bubba."

Marvin is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and brothers and sisters. Marvin is survived by his children, Carolyn Joan Carr, Marvin James "Jim" Gaskamp, Suzanne Abel, and Sara Carroll-Downs; and his grandchildren, Bryan Gaskamp, Brandy Degges, Johnathan Carroll, Joshua Carroll and Wendy Downs.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from eleven until half-past eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 28th of December, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The interment will follow at one o'clock that afternoon at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Avenue in Houston.
