Marvin Roy Chance

He was married to Geraldine Silcox Chance for 72 blessed years. Marvin worked in the field as a machinist for Cameron Iron Works and had a passion for music, painting, crafts.

He is survived by his son Ronald D. Chance and wife Sandy; son-in-law Gilbert Gardemal; grandchildren Erica and Cody Martin, Jessica and Robert Dykes, Chara Chance, and Jeremy and Candice Gardemal; great grandchildren Vivian Elle Dykes, Lilly Star Chance Finell, and Noah Gardemal. He was preceded in death by his loving and caring wife Geraldine Silcox Chance, daughter Cynthia Chance Gardemal, and siblings Arnold and wife Peal Silcox, David and wife Ethal Silcox, Virginia and husband Tommy Kerls, and LoEva and husband Jim Luttrel.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, August 24th, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038. The celebration of life service will take place at 12:00 p.m. with a procession to follow to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038, at 1:00 p.m. where Marvin will be laid to rest. A reception will immediately follow in the Magnolia Room of American Heritage Funeral Home.
