Mark Thomas Lamb

Mark Lamb was born March 24, 1955, and passed to his eternal reward on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. Mark was born to Thomas Francis and Joan Drury Lamb, the first of five children. During the 67 years that Mark lived, he accomplished more than the average man. While he completed life’s mundane tasks, such as graduating from Saint Thomas High School in 1973, continuing his education at the University of Houston, getting a job in 1977 as an Operator at the Shell Refinery in Deer Park, Texas, and becoming Senior Operator before retiring in 2018, Mark accomplished whatever he set his mind to with his exceptional talent for engineering.

Mark was a devoted Husband and Father. He personified Family. Mark married into a large family and melded the Lambs and the Harrisons into one very large “Extended Family”. Mark was the fifth son to Al and Marceline, his “In-Laws”, and another brother to all of Marceline’s siblings. At the same time, all of Mark’s siblings were like brothers and sisters to the Harrison Family.

Mark epitomized service. If anyone needed a hand, he was always there. He enjoyed planning family activities, like camping trips, and even inspired family members to buy travel trailers or tents, so that the entire family could come together. Mark, with the help of his brother-in-law Craig, organized and facilitated the whole weekend, including water sports, meals, and Domino Tournaments. Mark loved his domino playing!

1 John 4:16 says: God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. This scripture fits Mark perfectly.

Mark has left this world to join his Mom and Dad, brothers Fred and Carl, and best friend Henry in heaven. Heaven will never be the same!

Mark is survived by Marceline, his wife of 44 years; daughter Frances and her spouse Jeff; daughter Christina and her spouse Richard; son Brian and spouse Cindy; grandchildren David, Linda, Morgan, Addison, Austin, and Aiden; brother Paul and spouse Holly; sister Janet; and many, many extended family and friends!

Mark will be missed in the hearts of all that knew him.

Please join the family in celebrating Mark’s life. Visitation and services will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Grand Chapel, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023. The Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 25, 2022, with Burial Service following at 11:00 AM.
