Maria Carmen Serrano age 92 of Houston, Tx Passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 around 7:00PM peacefully in her sleep after sharing one last Thanksgiving Dinner surrounded by family. Carmen was married to Arnulfo Serrano Sr. at the age of 17 in 1946 in Ameca, Jal. Mexico where she was born, till his passing away on July 21, 2016, they had eight children, four sons Arnulfo Serrano Jr., Joe Serrano, Ricardo Serrano, Miguel Serrano and four daughters Maria Luisa Rivera, Carmen Salinas, Isabel Palacios, Ana Rosa Gonzales and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carmen was a church member of Holy Name Catholic Church and was a person of strong faith.
Carmen was a very loving and joyful person and will be missed by all who had the chance to meet her, may she rest in heavenly peace amen.
A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A burial will occur Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
Serving as pallbearers are Arnulfo Serrano Jr., Joe Serrano, Miguel Serrano, Hector Rivera Jr., J.R. Salinas and Rudy Peña Jr..
