Maria Teresa Ramirez

Our loving mother Maria Teresa Ramirez 86 entered eternal rest on Wednesday May 03,2023 in Houston TX. She was born July 13, 1936 in Cd. Acuña Coahuila Mexico to parents Cayetano Martinez and Rita Delgado.

She married her long time friend and love the late Pablo Ramirez on July 7,1962. While in Acuña Maria worked as a factory worker for Standard Components for 8 years. In 1976 she migrated to Houston Texas. Where she devoted her life to her children/grandchildren. Mom was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as an "Abuelita". She had a feisty personality and always made the people around her laugh. She attended and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christian of Latter Day Saints. She will be remembered as an amazing cook, as a Houston Astros fanatic, for her enjoyment of playing loteria and for her love for Mariachi music, Mom made friends everywhere she went she will greatly be missed by all who knew her.

Mom is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pablo Ramirez; great granddaughter, Alexis Garcia; father, Cayetano Martinez; mother, Rita Delgado; sisters, Blaza, Maria, and Elvira; brothers, Juan and Pedro.

She is survived by her children, Rosy Salazar husband Eleazar, Paul Ramirez, Edward Ramirez wife Martha, Alma Dempsey husband Gene, Lucy Garcia husband Jose, Claudia Ramirez husband Alexis, and Rita Salazar husband Luis; grandchildren, Jermaine Salazar wife Nedy, Celeste Ruiz De Chavez husband Joe, Edward Ramirez Jr. wife Melissa, Carrie Ramirez husband Basni, Sara Ramirez, Colby Jones, Crystal Cardenas husband Leo, Melissa Dempsey, Rebecca Leonard husband Brown, Urban Garcia wife Jazmin, Ulissa Garcia and Guero, Jose Garcia wife Vanessa, Paul Garcia and Jessica, Octavo Alvarado, Selena Alvarado husband Joshua, Savanah Garcia husband Juan, Sophia Alvarado husband Jonathan, Lex Salazar, and Aiden Salazar; great grandchildren, Noah Salazar, Nicholas Salazar, Noemi Ruiz De Chavez, Lilly Ruiz De Chavez, Delilah Ramirez, Adrian Ramirez, Avery Garcia, Lizzy Barajas, Urban Garcia Jr., Giovannie García, Uliana García, Joshua San Miguel, Maximus San Miguel, Marcos Rodriguez, Alexander Garcia, Roman Garcia, Ava García, and Robert Leonard; brother, Eluterio Martinez.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home.
