Maria Isabel Hernandez passed away on Thursday, August 11th at the age of 71. She was born in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico. Early on, her parents moved her and her twelve siblings to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. This is where she later met her future husband, Jaime Hernandez, when she was 17 years old. At the age of 21, they welcomed their first child and soon after raised a beautiful family with 4 more children. Together, Maria and Jaime were able to spend 51 lovely years.
She was outlived by her husband Jaime Hernandez, her five children: daughter Lorene Ortega and her husband Elias Ortega, son Michael Hernandez and his wife Felicia Hernandez, son Steve Hernandez and his wife Yanely Hernandez, son Jason Hernandez, and daughter Natalie Reyes and her husband Diego Reyes, her grandchildren: E. Jovani Ortega and his wife Thelma E Ortega, Michael Hernandez Junior and his wife Stephanie E Hernandez, Tristen R. Ortega,Jade N Hernandez, Aiden J Hernandez,Jacob Hernandez, Nicholas A Montes , Alyssa L Reyes , Genevieve G Ortega , Damian Reyes, Amorie B Hernandez; her great grandchild Noah Hernandez; and her loving siblings: Graciela Martinez, Rodrigo Lozano, Maria Del Socorro, Sergio Lozano, Antonio Lozano, Javier Lozano, and Adriana Escobedo.
Her parents Abraham Lozano and Esperanza Gonzalez Lozano who are now with their daughter in heaven; and her siblings, Abraham Lozano Jr., Armando Lozano, Jose Lozano, Leticia Lozano, and Maria Julieta precede Maria in death.
She was a loving mother and was filled with joy by her many grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as a woman with such a pure heart who loved to cook and always put others first. She is now at peace knowing that all the people she left behind will miss her every day.
A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022.
