Margie Lura Blake

Margie was born January 21, 1934 in Taylor Texas to Irving Leander Theodore Soderberg and Erna Mae Lovelace. Margie graduated from Texas City High School in 1954. She married Clifford Barnett Blake in Long Beach, California July 26. 1956. Margie LOVED and CHERISHED her family, never met a stranger and gave the best hugs. Her sense of humor was sure to make you smile or lol. She was always quick with a compliment and smile for you. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crosby where she felt free to worship Jesus in her sweet “Bapticostal” way. Music was always a part of who she was whether singing with Clifford in their cover bands, singing with friends and family or in the church choir. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, her daughter, Gayleen Barerra and son, Donald Blake. Margie is survived by daughters Theresa Brummett and husband Eugene Brummett, Lori Roberts and husband John Roberts, son Ronald Blake and wife Dorene Blake, numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service for Margie will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church Crosby, 615 Runneburg Rd, Crosby, TX 77532. A visitation will occur Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 615 Runneburg Rd., Crosby, TX 77532. A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015.
