Margarite Louise Pate

Houston, TX

Margarite L. Pate, 91, passed away on June 5, 2012 in Houston, Texas, at her home with much of her family at her side. Margarite was born June 22, 1920 in Huffman, Indiana to the late Nathalie Miller Hail and Coy Odell Hail.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, O. Glenn Pate, her parents, and her brothers Coy C. Hail and Chester R. Hail.

Margarite invested her life in her family. She provided a wonderful home for her husband as he enjoyed his career in the oil field from Louisiana, to Corpus Christi, Texas, to Houston, Texas, to Denver Colorado and back to Houston. She also nurtured five successful children who each excelled in school and within their chosen careers.

Margarite is survived by her five children: Perry G. Pate, MD, Judge Robert C. Pate (Linda), Barbara L. Haurberg (Scott), Bradford B. Pate, PhD, and Alan L. Pate (Lap); and her grandchildren: Paul Pate, Eleanor Pate, R.C. Pate, Jr., Gardner Pate, Oscar Pate, Nathalie Haurberg, Soren Haurberg, Monica Pate, Marina Pate, Drake Pate and Lillian Pate.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
