Margaret left us the way she came to us: with fierce determination, incredible grit, a spirit larger than all outdoors, and unwavering love. For her husband, daughter, family, and friends. For her farm, her gardens, her horses, dogs, and cats. And for all the children in the world. Margaret started working with children when she was only 17. Today thousands of people can say their lives were changed by her firm, knowing encouragement that every child has their own special way of learning and it’s up to us to help them find it. A teacher, gardener, potter, a cyclist, snorkeler, kayaker! Margaret never met a challenge she couldn’t take. She made children and flowers bloom and the earth a bright, colorful place. She was a natural artiste. Margaret showed us how to live a good life. The best life. We loved her so much. She loved us more.
Margaret is survived by her husband Nick, her daughter Lena and son-in-law Kody Dobecka. Her brothers Francis, John, and Jim Sallans, her sister Maddie, and their spouses Becky, Patrice, Kaysie, and Pablo, and her sister-in-law Sue Tracy. Her best friends forever: Kathy, Sally, Marie, Karen, Diane, Suzanne, Sara, Nancy, Lu, Jan, Vickie, Lizzy, and the Gang of 8. And the great loves of her professional life---The Parish School children, parents, teachers, Board, and the most amazing Staff in the universe.
In lieu of flowers Nick and Lena request that donations be made to The Parish School 11001 Hammerly Blvd. Houston Texas for: The Margaret Noecker Nature Fund.
