I still remember the support Margaret gave me when my daughter attended Parish back in 1993-5.   And she always seemed pleased to hear of her thriving in the subsequent years.  She will remain a light in my heart.  I am very sorry for the loss to her immediate and extended family.

I was so sorry to learn of Margaret's passing just this past weekend.  I had the pleasure of meeting her through my work at Camp For All and she was one of those women who made everyone feel special.  My condolences to the family as I am sure a great light and love is now missing from your lives.

I met Margaret at Camp For All when she brought the Parish School campers. She is an inspiration. I learned more about patience, understanding, sharing and teaching from the her years at camp than from any single source.  I will use her knowledge forever - It was an honor to know her and learn from her.  I am truly saddened for the world.

Margaret was an inspiration to us all. I enjoyed getting to know her while working on the gardens at The Parish School.  She was always so encouraging and her excitement was contagious.  I will really miss her and will always think of her when I see all the beautiful flowers blooming at The Parish School.

Margaret had a way of making you feel like so much more than an employee.....she was truly invested in you and it showed in the people that she worked with as well as the children she loved and taught....she was a firecracker! The special needs community has lost a tremendous asset and advocate! She will be missed greatly....love and prayers to her family and the Parish community.

Margaret showed me that the best way to teach was to remember what it felt like to be a child. She showed me that every word we say is heard with the heart and that what we do through our actions conveys even more. Thank you Margaret for giving us all the opportunity to know and love you. And just like bluebonnets come back every year, through your infectious passion, the seeds of your positive presence will continue to grow and spread in the hearts of many, including those that you never even knew.

I met Margaret in 1983. I had the pleasure of working with her in the summer programs from 1983-1986, while I was attending college. I learned so much from just watching her interact with the students. We had one student who was autistic, and I had no idea how to approach or work with this young boy. I remember Margaret telling me that he would teach me, more than I could ever learn in a classroom. She was right! I loved her enthusiasm, her calm determination and her love for life. I am a better teacher today, because of the summers I spent with Margaret. I know she will be greatly missed.

I just learned the news and am deeply saddened.  Margaret was such an inspiration to me. She was a woman of strength and determination and loved the Parish School. To the family, my love and prayers are with you.  To the Parish School family, may her legacy continue to shine bright.

And, you were the professional partner we parents so desperately needed in our lives, because you were respectful of and positive about our children's uniqueness, strengths and potential.  Our Jess, your former student, has soared to heights already in his 25 years many never imagined or predicted.  But, Margaret, you weren't surprised because you did imagine/predict great things for Jess.  So, when more unfolds in Jess' life, when he reaches even greater heights as we know he will- we will ALWAYS think of you with great love and appreciation for BELIEVING in our precious son. What a great women she was. I am deeply sadden by this sudden loss and will always remember her personality and encouragement. She knew every student by name and always asked if everything was okay. I'm so glad to have attended the parish school and will miss her warm smile.

Margaret was such a wonderful friend and colleague of mine.  She was my "go to" for resources for the children in my practice at Village Therapy Works.  She loved her position at Parish School and even had my youngest son, Daniel, get involved with her Camp for All program.  I loved our fun conversations and her wonderful laugh.  She will be deeply missed. My love goes out to her family that she always spoke so lovingly about.

...that LAUGH! - that Radiant Smile and Glorious Laugh!  An encounter with Margaret always left me with a lighter heart and joy in my soul...she was a Gift to all whose life she touched and she will be missed immeasurably.

I will miss Margaret more than I can express.  We were scheduling a "Board Meeting" for right after April 15.  Every day I think about the benefit provided by Parish and Margaret to my grandson.  She is gone but I must think that she is still watching all of her Parish children from above.  I'll see you on Saturday when I get back from Dallas.

Margaret, it has been my pleasure to be your employee for the past 7 years! Your a incredible woman and we all miss you already. We, as the parish school staff, will always cherish the time we had with you and your legacy will be in our heart for an eternity.

Margaret was an incredible woman and I was blessed to count her as a friend and colleague.  She was one of those people who lit up a room when she entered. When I was ill she brought over her "mean chicken soup" which she served with a smile and a delightful chat to cheer me up. Margaret was also a dedicated volunteer who tackled her volunteer work with verve and dedication like she did everything else. Among her many contributions as a board member of Houston Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, she co-edited the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Resource Directory that guides and informs people about dyslexia. Margaret was a treasure and she will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences.

Nick and Lena, Margaret was a kindred spirit, what I will always remember is her sharp wit and great sense of humor. I have so many fond memories of our High School days, living life to the fullest. Even if we didn't see each other for a while, we always picked up where we left off. She was an amazing woman, she gave so much back to the universe. Margaret was my next door neighbor in the Houston Heights for almost 20 years. I will greatly miss our lively and friendly front porch conversations and greetings as we left home and came home. Margaret, Nick and Lena are part of the fabric of my life and Margaret will always remain in my memory with love.

Margaret was such a great advocate for my child from the day he entered the Parish School, when he entered the public school system and entered college.  She has helped, encouraged and advised our family all through our journey with Jack.  Jack is such a great "happy" person and Margaret shares in that credit.  Margaret will be greatly missed.
