Margaret Flory Moore

Margaret Flory Moore, 60 years old, of Houston, Texas, currently residing in Abilene, Texas, went to join the Lord on November 8, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1964 to parents Louis Warren Flory, Sr. and Gracie Lou Zahn.

Margaret was married to Thurman Moore in Spring, Texas on 10 March 1990 and left her job at DHL to be a homemaker. She has 3 children: Robert Massingill, Jr., Brian Massingill, and Brandon Moore.

She loved the Lord and was blessed by the fellowship at The River Abilene church. Loving her family fiercely, she invested time in her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, and friends. Margaret, affectionately known as Grammy, treasured spending time with her grandchildren Anna, Joshua, Rebecca, and Benjamin; she lit up when she was with them. Each day, her dogs and cats brought her happiness, and sometimes madness. She enjoyed reading, particularly Danielle Steel novels, and frequented Mexican food restaurants. Margaret was known for bringing laughter and crazy stories to any gathering.

Margaret is preceded in death by: Gracie Lou Flory (nee Zahn) (mother); Louis Warren Flory, Sr. (father); Anthony Edward Flory (grandfather); Etta Flory (grandmother).

She is survived by: Thurman Moore (husband); Robert Derryl Massingill, Jr. (son) and wife Amber; Brian Edward Massingill (son) and wife Tamara; Brandon Dwayne Moore (son); Louis Warren Flory Jr. (brother) and wife Angela; Anthony Dwayne Flory (brother) and wife Debbie; and Ricky Lynn Flory (brother) and wife Vilma.

A visitation for Margaret will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:30 AM in Brookside's Grand Oak Chapel with interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
