Margaret Marie Vinklarek Gerlich

Margaret Marie Vinklarek-Gerlich, 90, of Houston, Texas, was born in Cistern, Texas on June 10, 1924 and passed away peacefully on November 11, 2014. She believed in God as her Lord and Savior and now rests peacefully in heavens glory.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John Vinklarek and Anastasi Kremel; and husband, Stanley James Gerlich. She loved her family and found joy in cooking, canning, quilting, family get-togethers, and she shared a great sense of community with her neighbors.

Margaret was an active member of the Christ the King Catholic Church Community, Christ the King Altar and Rosary Society, KJZT Organization and Proctor Plaza Civic Club.

She is survived by her children: daughters, Patricia J. Silverman and husband, Sheppy and Carol G. Chang and husband, Fred; sons, Father Robert Gerlich S.J., Stanley Gerlich and wife, Sharon, and Dennis Gerlich and wife, Janice; her grandchildren, Ryan, Chad, Lauren, Landon, Christina, and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Claire and Fiona.
