Luis Rafael Bujanda

He was born on August 25, 1965 in Parral Chihuahua, Mexico to Rafael Bujanda Villalobos and Irene Bujanda Herrera. Luis worked in law enforcement in Mexico. He migrated to Denver, Colorado at the age of 31 to work in the U.S. He later moved to Houston, Texas to join the majority of his siblings at the age of 36. He enjoyed spending time with his family and later had a daughter of his own, Catalina, who is now 9 years old. Luis also enjoyed cheering on his favorite soccer team, Los Tigres, and he loved to go running. He had a generous and faith-filled heart. In October of 2018, Luis was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and spent his remaining months surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his daughter, Catalina Isabella Bujanda, his siblings, Rafaela Bujanda, Jesus Bujanda, Porfirio Bujanda, Irene Villalobos, Concepcion Borjas, Ever Bujanda, Evangelina Bujanda, Teresita Garza, Guadalupe Ruiz, Maria Bujanda, and Araceli Bujanda, along with his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and all his relatives.

A visitation for Luis will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Rd., Houston, TX 77089.
