Louis A. Harris, 96, passed away on April 10, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas. He was born May 15, 1921 in Caradan, Texas to Alonzo & Nevada Harris. Louis is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Ouida Harris. Left to cherish his memory, sister in law, Geneva Mosley; numerous much loved, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.
Louis was a boxer in his past, loved to play baseball and especially loved playing Dominoes. He was the former President and CEO of American Teachers Life Insurance Company. He loved encouraging and helping others. Louis was a faithful member of Gospel Truth Pentecostal Church of Spring where he had a passion for teaching God's Word and mentoring.
Visitation for family and friends will begin on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5pm-8pm with the funeral ceremony to be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10am at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
