Lonnie Vaughn Barley

Lonnie was called home by his Lord and Savior December 22, 2019, he went peacefully surrounded by his family. Lonnie was born in Pearsall, Texas December 25, 1936 to Lonnie and Jean Barley. Lonnie graduated from Williams Adams High School in Alice, Texas in 1955 and graduated from Texas A&I College in Kingsville, Texas 1959.

Lonnie married Margie Ann Murphy in 1959 in Alice, Texas. Lonnie and Margie have four children, Lonnie Glenn Barley, Houston, TX (deceased), Brenda Kay Simmons, St. Charles, MO, Linda Gay Fields, Humble, TX, and Michael Lynn Barley, Houston, TX.

Lonnie has 5 grandchildren, Ashley Fields, Houston, TX, Cody Karm (deceased), Morgan Morphew, Midland, TX, Kara Simmons, Tyler, TX, Lauren Barley, College Station, TX. And 2 great grand children, Jaxon Liles, Houston, TX and Linley Morphew, Midland, TX.

Lonnie worked for Brown & Root Construction/Engineering from 1957-1986 whereby he retired as Vice President for the Oilfield Services Division.

Margie Ann Barley expired in 1989 after a long illness with cancer. Lonnie married Billie Tucker Pesl and settled on their ranch in Gonzales, TX. Years later Billie Tucker Pesl expired after a long battle with cancer. Lonnie moved to Houston, TX to be closer to his children.

Lonnie was a great husband, father, and pawpaw. He will truly be missed & the memories will be cherished.
