Lisa Renee Rodriguez ⛥ made her final adventure on the morning of June 12. 2024. After Lisa was diagnosed with cancer six years ago and continued to live a strong life. She was a miracle every day. Born in Houston, she spent her life in Houston, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois. Lisa graduated Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and then received her Master of Business Administration from DePaul University - Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Illinois.
Lisa enjoyed life to the fullest. She traveled frequently spending nearly a year in Barcelona, traveled to Ireland, Germany, Scotland, Paris, London, Italy, and making a holy trip to Jerusalem where she was baptized in the Jordan River.
Lisa worked at Allstate Insurance for nearly 20 years in multiple positions. Lisa also positively impacted the lives of many high school students by editing college admittance essays that helped them achieve their college dreams. Many students have sent thank you letters praising her skills and attributing to her their college success.
She loved to bake. Her specialty was chocolate-covered pretzels, cookies and cakes. She would often throw away dozens of cookies because they were not up to her standards. Lisa also loved the fellowship found at Risen Church. She enjoyed her bible study and her fellowship with church members.
Lisa is survived by her Brother Ben, Sister in-law Deana, Mother Becky, and Father Larry. Lisa lived her life the best she knew and left this earth wishing that her family and loved ones would know the Lord and travel as often as possible. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering. In Lisa’s final thoughts, she shared her love for her family and friends, especially Michelle Flores, Brenda Lee
Perez, Melinda Daniels, Becky Rodriguez(Aunt), Rosalynn Tyner King and all the prayer warriors.
In honor of Lisa, a memorial will be on June 29th, 2024 at 10 am at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek.
