Doc, or "Lionel" as I often started our Lakers-Rockets talk, my heart is sadden knowing I can't have those anymore.  Looking back at our who was better "Mamba" or Akeem disputes, it is clear now.. You were.. Athletes are Athletes, but your body of work through your life has far greater accomplishments!  You will be greatly missed my good man, but knowing you are in Heaven helps us all get through this difficult time!! Rest In Peace Doc!! Prayers and love go out to the Family!

There is no memory greater than the other, I am blessed to have witnessed them all these past years.  I will miss our banter about the Lakers v.s. Bucks (fear the deer), watching countless football games & you being in the midst of all the many "hoedowns".   Your physical form is gone, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of many....especially this "girl".  

Uncle James( I call him that because he always treated me as family) was such a fun and loving person.  He was THE biggest Lakers fan I knew! I will cherish the memories created from when I was a child visiting with my mom and always seeing him chill in the recliner watching the game. I will miss you and we love you. I wish my husband had got the chance to meet you . To Aunt Renee, Jon-Erik, Red and Eric and all his family, we extend our condolences and will continue to pray for your strength and peace. Love you all. 

Lionel was a great cousin.  He was always thoughtful and always had  encouraging words for me. Although he was older he made sure I knew he Love and respected  me and I felt the same toward him. He will be missed physically but I will alway have him in my heart.

My condolences to the family, may he rest in Paradise. James was always so good to me. I’ve never met anyone to this day that could tell it like it is and you still feel loved. Until we meet again I hope “your princess” makes you proud! Love, Gloria aka “GMONEY” 💜💛

Memories I have with my papa were full of love and happiness. Spending time with him is what I will cherish the most. I will forever be his princess. Rest in Heaven Papa.

Lionel "James” Price was born December 30, 1951 in Bunkie, LA to the late Herman and Mary Lee Price, he departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He leaves to mourn his wife Katharine “Renee” Price. 

Sons; Jon-Erik (Elizabeth "Liz") Jessie "Red" (Shanta) & Eric (Latasha) and grand-children Jessica, Bryson, Ja’Vontay Percy "JP", Langston, Miley, Elijah, Elicia, Seleilah, Eric, and Shiloh. 
Sisters; Maple Mae Timothy, Eunice Whirl, Edra Mae (Joseph) Edwards & Barbara Ann (Ronald) West.  Brothers; Roy Lee (Alberta) Price, Marvin Dale (Genetta) Price & Dennis Ray (Barbara) Price. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
