Her bakery, Lindy’s Country Cupboard, was an icon in Spring, Texas. What started as a hobby became confectionary institution. Lindy took great pride in providing the centerpiece of her customer’s celebrations for over 40 years.
Lindy was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, the late Fred Robert Maze, Jr., for 50 years. They met in Glee Club at Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, Texas, and were together until parted by death.
Lindy was also a loving and supportive mother to her children, Fred Robert (Freddy) Maze, III, his wife, Mechelle, and her daughter, Robin Lynn Maze. Lindy took great pride and joy in watching her family grow. She was blessed grandchildren, Brittany Johnson and her husband, Tracer, and Heather Maze, and great-grandchildren, Vaughn and Samantha Johnson, Easton Brown, and Paisley Mechler. They will forever miss their “Grandma Lindy.”
Lindy is also survived by her much younger sister, Tina Howard and her husband, Stephen, and her favorite sister-in-law, Carrie Sample and her husband, Larry. Nieces and nephews: Russell Sample, his wife, Sarah, and their children, Joshua and Ethan, Donna Kramr, her husband, Darryl, and their children Kylie, Braden, and Bryce, Matt Styslinger and his wife, Dianna, and Amanda Styslinger, and her children, Mia and Ian. Lindy is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Eunice Maples, and her mother and father-in-law, Fred and Elizabeth.
