Leo Aston, fun-loving and passionate guitarist for the Houston blues band, The Leo Trio, passed away on July 26th after a 10-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was 43. Leo will be remembered for his incredible music, his talents as a master shipwright and carpenter, his adventurous personality, his love of the sea, and for being a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Leo is survived by his wife, Miranda Herbert Aston of Houston, Texas, his mother, Pauline Jackson of London, England, his father, Robert Sturgess of Katy, Texas, his sister, Martine Peltzer, and his niece and nephew, Tara and Charley Peltzer of Munich, Germany. Leo was buried at sea in a private ceremony on August 5, 2012 in the Gulf of Mexico. A public memorial is scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2012, 1pm-6pm at Rudyard’s British Pub (2010 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX, 77006).
