Lena Ventura

Lena Ventura age 102, passed away peacefully in her sleep January 21st,2016. She was born October 3, 1913 in Bryan, Texas to the late Ross and Mary Salvaggio. Lena is preceded in death by her late husbands Nick Ventura and Lee Coussan and best friend Robert Matranga, sisters Josephine Fazzino and Mary Saladiner; brothers Charlie and Sam Salvaggio. She is survived by her loving family; son Frank Ross and Taska Ventura; daughter Mary Jo And Frank Dimicelli; granddaughter Elizabeth and Anthony Virgadamo; grandsons Frank Carl and Lori, Anthony and Kristina, Johnny and Sharon Dimicelli;13 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild on the way; numereous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Pallbearers; Frank Carl, Anthony and Johnny Dimicelli, Anthony Virgadamo, Christopher Virgadamo, Brandon Dimicelli,Jeremy Gilder and Ross Salvaggio. Honorary Pallbearers; Jake Russell, Sammy Dimicelli, Trey and Jeff Dimicelli, and Aaron Schindler.

The Family will receive family and friends from 5:00-8:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm, Sunday January 24, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave. Houston, TX 77023. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church,11011 Hall Rd., Houston, TX 77089 with Reverend Alvaro J. Interiano, Celebrant, followed by Rite of Committal at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetary.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund or to the Charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the ladies at ComforCare that cared for Lena with such care and compassion and Compassionate Care Hospice for all their support and care.
