Laurence "Larry" Robert Jones

Mr. Jones was born April 7, 1935 in Murray, Utah to Lawrence and Donna Jones. Larry was a long-time resident of Houston, TX and worked for many years as the Foreman of the Instrument Shop Site Services at Westhollow Technology Center (Shell Oil Company). He attended and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. What brought Larry the most joy was hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones—of which there were many, family and friend alike.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 49-years, Minerva ‘Cuzy’ Jones, of Houston, TX; sister, Donna Switzer of Sandy, UT; sons, Wade Jones and wife Tracey of Magnolia, TX, Ross Jones of Sealy, TX; daughters, Linda Aragon and husband Joe of Raton, NM, and April Liberato of Hilo, HI; stepsons, Chris Reinhardtsen and wife Lisa of Cypress, TX, Steve Reinhardtsen and wife Jennifer, of Flower Mound, TX;12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces and nephews as well as a myriad of other close friends and family.

The Rosary began at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2023, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood, Houston, TX 77080.

A graveside service and reception followed at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Larry’s name to The Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, TX. (shrinershospitalsforchildren.org), or a charity of your choice.
