Larry D Scheier

Lawrence or Larry as most people knew him, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2024 at Bristol Park at Cypress Assisted Living Memory Care.

He was born in Mooreland OK, to loving parents Joe and Jeanne Scheier on November 7, 1948.

Larry had the best sense of humor with everyone he knew, even strangers. He had a unique and special way to make you smile even when having a bad day. He loved talking about the old times. Especially, When Coke a cola was a nickel and movies were strictly a weekend event.

When he was a Sergeant in the Army, he earned numerous medal and awards. He got obsessed with riding motorcycles, bodybuilding and even competing in sports. What else could he do while living in the tiny town of Seiling OK. He was a strong, generous kind hearted man. He loved his family above all.Larry worked numerous positions in his 40 years at Baker Hughes until his retirement.

He married his wife, Diana on November 16, 2013 at their home. It was a small service filled with loved ones dear to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Jeanne Scheier, and his sister Cathy Prophet.

He is survived by his loving wife Diana, his sons Rusty and Jason Scheier. Step children Debbie Strang, Chuck Strang and wife Molly and sister Maggie Sander of Edmond OK, Patty Hutchinson of Chester OK, Brother Rycke Scheier Apache Junction AZ, Grandchildren Joseph and Allie Scheier of League City, TX.

He is also survived by numerous other family members.

Larry will be buried at the Houston National Veterans Cemetery with service at a later date.
