Larry Layne Braswell

Larry was born to Jerome Corwin Braswell and Hazel Eugenia Braswell on December 2, 1943 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1962 and received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Houston in 1967. He married Rosemary Greer in 1977 and they lived together in Magnolia, Texas. Together they raised five children.

Larry is survived by his wife, Rosemary Braswell; daughter Traci Hoekstra and husband Richard; daughter Lisa Greer; daughter Phyllis Ford and husband Kevin; daughter Amy Hoffpauir and husband Gerald; daughter Jana Ivy and husband Shay; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his brother, Jerome Corwin "Jerry" Braswell II and his wife Leah; his niece Kelly Braswell; his nephew Jerome Corwin "JC" Braswell III and his wife Caroline; as well as his great nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Corwin Braswell and his mother, Hazel Eugenia Braswell.

Larry worked as a Drilling Engineer his entire career and was very well respected in his field. He enjoyed riding horses, roping and raising cattle on his ranch in Westhoff, Texas.

A graveside service for Larry will be held Saturday, September, 17, 2022 at 3:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas, 77023. Following the graveside service will be a reception from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Forest Park Funeral Home Magnolia Suite. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
