Kenneth “Ken” Joe Murphy, 63, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on December 19, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to the late Malcolm Joseph Murphy and Evelyn Marie Strelec Murphy. Kenneth married Beverly Jo Corley, which they spent the next 32 years together raising their daughter, Sheila Ann Murphy. Kenneth’s interests included listening to music, watching pro-wrestling and Clint Eastwood movies, being a joker and spending time with family. He was immensely proud of his daughter and her accomplishments, including being proud of his grandson, Damien Jackson Rosson, in Jiu Jitsu and doing good in school.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, is his beloved wife, Beverly Jo Murphy of Dayton, Texas; his daughter, Sheila Murphy and grandson, Damien Rosson of Baytown, Texas, his siblings Renee Stein and husband, Herbert of Tomball, Texas; Patricia Mallett and husband Don of Houston, Texas; his nieces Michelle Mundt, Shelby Corley, LeAnn Gerald, Tamara McDaniel, Amber Box and Chelsea LeBlanca; his nephews Lonnie Hulse, Jesse Corley, Kenny English I, Michael Box, William Carson, and Robert Carson; eight (8) great-nephews and five (5) great-nieces; and a host of other loving relatives and friends
