Kayla Sloan

Kayla Renee Sloan was born on June 29, 1989 in Houston, Texas and departed this life on September 5, 2016.  She is the beloved daughter of Anthony and Sheryl Devenport.  Kayla had a very genuine spirit.  She was always there for anyone who needed her.  She loved to dance and act silly as she was always trying to make people laugh.  She kept a smile on her face and enjoyed doing everything girls like to do, especially going shopping and eating out at her favorite restaurants.   She was firm and steadfast in her decisions. She liked things to go her way and didn’t mind verbalizing her thoughts to whomever.  When she couldn’t have her way with her mom or dad she would always go to her grandmother Valley to get what she wanted as she was the first grandchild born to Dennis Sloan and Valley Hayes and she loved her position and knew its worth.   She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Beatrice and Darrol Hayes Sr., her paternal grandparents Lillie and Howard Devenport Sr., a special uncle and cousin Darrel Jeanpierre and Shannetta Jeanpierre   She leaves to cherish her memory:  her son Rhylind Robinson, her parents Anthony and Sheryl Devenport; her grandparents Dennis Sloan and Valley Hayes, Daisy and Herman Devenport Sr.; her brothers Josiah Devenport and Anthony Devenport Jr.; great grandmother  Viola  Foots  Roberson; two very special aunts, Ashley Sloan and Felicia Sloan-Douglas; her niece Arrayia Janae Devenport; a close cousin, Darian Johnson; family member, Milton Keith III; three Great Aunts Ruth, Bobbi and Beatrice and four Great Uncles, Darrol Hayes (Felice), Donald Hayes Sr. (Sheri), Alex Hayes (Sheronda) and Sam Hayes (Susan) as well many other family members and friends.
