Kay Ann Miller, 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away May 12, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas on January 5, 1935 to parents Gladys and Herbert (Jack) Morgan. She was married to John Gordan (Jack) Miller for 40 years. Kay worked for Harris County Real Records for over 15 years, as well as with St. James Furniture and the Consignment Shop.
She had a passion for decorating and interior design, playing games, with Bridge being one of her favorites.
She was preceded in death by Gladys and Herbert Morgan (parents), Jack Miller (Husband), Robin Miller (Infant Daughter), Russell Miller (Son), Sue Floyd (Twin sister), and Ray Floyd (Brother-in-law).
She is survived by son’s Greg Miller (Clay Kirkland), Brad Miller (Ramona), sister Martha Bowling, Grandchildren Jeremy Miller (Betsy), Kara Haymaker (Hart), Dustin Miller (Ashley), Ryan Burgess. Step Grandson (Jennifer) and Nikki Teal, Step Granddaughter (Shane), many Great Grandchildren, extended Great Grandchildren and her precious cat Lola.
Kay was a powerful follower of Christ and helped many find peace through Jesus. She was a brutally honest woman. Her snarky wit would give most people a good laugh, or one might walk away and think, “did she really just say that?” and, with her little smirk, she would keep you baffled. She was a voracious reader, mostly period pieces, steeped in history. She was also an impeccable dresser and was never without lipstick on those tiny thin lips. A class act, who will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of anyone that knew and loved her.
