Kathryn Juanita Turner Seigle died peacefully at her home at Atria Westchase on December 22, 2014. Born 10/12/24 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Mose G. and Della Hayes Turner, she graduated from Drumright High in 1942. She loved being an actress and was in a school play every year from grade school through high school.
Her favorite was the senior class play "Scarecrow Creeps". She moved to Tulsa where she attended Tulsa Business College, then went to work for Tidewater Oil Company. It was there she met William "Bill" Seigle. Their first date was on 1/1/46 and they married on 6/23/46. They were blessed with two daughters, Krista Kay and Paulette Renee. The family moved to Houston in 1963 where Kathryn was very active at Westbury Baptist Church. She worked at JCPenney Meyerland in Personnel for over 10 years. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and traveling with Bill and the "XYZ Club" from church. She moved to the Atria in 2007 where she soon became known as "Bingo Kathryn" and was one of their Ambassadors.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, her parents, her brother Floyd of Tulsa, sisters Fern Thompson and Velma Davis of Ponca City, son-in-law Thomas Cheatham of Houston, and great grandson Andrew William Clay of Houston. She is survived by daughters Krista Cheatham, Paulette Binion and husband Pat, grandchildren Russell Cheatham, Emily Clay and husband Daniel, John Binion and wife Melody, and great grandson Tanner Clay. Special appreciation to Atria Westchase for their kindness and compassion. A memorial service for Kathryn will be held in January 2015 at Westbury Baptist Church.
