Karen Regina Jackson

Karen Regina Pleasant- Jackson was born in Houston, Texas to the late Theodore, Jr. and Mildred Pleasant on January 10, 1961. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized. The eleventh of twelve children Karen attended school in the Aldine School District graduating from Aldine High School in 1980. In 1978, she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Anderson. Karen and Anderson's relationship was one of mutual love and respect. She was affectionately known by him and many others as "KP". Excelling with athletic ability she continued her education at Paul Quinn College in Waco, TX studying Accounting. On June 22, 1984, she united in Holy matrimony to Anderson Jackson, Jr. To this union three children were born: Anderson III, Dontay and Kiarra. Being a devoted wife and mother were her most important jobs. She was employed at Walgreens Photography later moving to Pounds Photographic Labs. Creative in the field of Photography she began to explore her entrepreneurial creativity resulting in two extremely successful business ventures, which included Photography and Salon Operations. Karen transitioned from this life on June 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore, Jr. and Mildred Pleasant; (3) brothers: Rodney, Herbert and Theodore (4) sisters Yvonne, Cheryl, Adrian and Jacqueline. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a loving husband, Anderson Jackson, Jr., (3) wonderful children, Anderson, III, Dontay and Kiarra, other mother Gloria Wise-Leigh (3) brothers Charles Pleasant, John Pleasant and Sean Leigh (3) sisters Faye Barnett , Jocelyn Henderson and Cynthia Leigh, mother-in-law Janice Jackson-Walker, (1) sister-in-law Tonya Walker, (3) brother-in-laws Vincent (Michelle), Demetrius and Sammie (Veronica) Walker, Jr. Her life was richly blessed by her grandson Tyler Jackson. Devoted friends Doug and Liz Davis; God child Madison. Through the years, Karen was embraced by a host of close friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and confidantes too numerous to name.
