Julian Montoya

Julian Montoya, age 86, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, he was born July 9, 1937 in Mexico to Agapito and Adelaida (Hernandez) Montoya. He was a responsible, hard working man who provided for his family especially his wife, she was his priority. Julian wore many titles: husband, dad, brother, son, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He worked hard every day to make sure his loved ones were taken care of. His family knew him as a kind, responsible, hard-working man. He liked to keep himself occupied. He always had a smile on his face and lived by the proverb "one man's trash is another man's treasure."

He is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years, Evangelina Montoya; his children, Ricardo Montoya; Reyna Montoya; Julio Montoya; Tere Montoya; Hector Montoya; Angie Zamora; Ruben Montoya and Ricardo Montoya, Jr. along with 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and his 3 beloved dogs, Muneca, Charlie and Chiquis. He is preceded in death by his parents, his children, Gabino Montoya, Leticia Montoya and Rosa Montoya all of these he loved and touch deeply. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Julian will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX.
