Judy Ann Hawkins was born April 16, 1955 in Tyler, Texas to Thomas and Mae Lena Hawkins. She received her education in Tyler, Texas and went on to graduate from John Tyler High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a proud member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tyler until her professional career landed her in Houston, Texas where she worked at Comcast for over 25 years until she retired, she was also a faithful member of Riceville Mt Olive Baptist Church for over 25 years until her health failed.
On September 10, 1972, Judy had her only daughter Tamika Lilly whom she prided herself in being the mother of and affectionately called “Meekie”. Judy leaves a legacy of faith, family and the love for fashion. She was also a friend to all mankind and had a laugh that was contagious to others.
On Saturday December 11, 2021, God plucked His precious flower to come back home. Judy is preceded in death by her father Thomas Hawkins and her brother Earnest Hawkins
Judy leaves to cherish her legacy her daughter Tamika Lilly; 1 granddaughter Jasmine Edwards; 1 grandson Ronald “Jaron” Lilly; and 1 great granddaughter Aubrey “Jellybean” Edwards. Her mother Mae Hawkins, three sisters Naomi Rider, Cheryl Davis, Sharon Richard (Dan) Evelyn Johnson; four brothers Thomas Hawkins (Carol), Joseph Hawkins, James Hawkins (Cynthia), Alfonso Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins III and Dwight Spencer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved dearly.
