Juanita P Sifuentes

Juanita P. Sifuentes, 91, of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Coleman, TX to Genaro and Julia Puente on August 29, 1924. She married Juan P. Sifuentes on October 21, 1945. They were happily married for 57 years and raised a large beautiful family together. She was devoted to caring for her husband, children and numerous grandchildren. Juanita was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was affiliated with the Sacred Heart Association. She was a truly amazing woman who was loved by all for her kind and genuine heart. Her generosity knew no bounds and we are all better people for having known her. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia Sifuentes; husband, Juan P. Sifuentes; brothers, Genaro and Jesus; sisters, Francisca and Manuela; Son-in-law, David and Grandson, Dan. She is survived by her sister, Maria; daughters, Lydia Cumpian and Tom, Cruz Saldana, Mary Espinal and Jose, Lupe Ibarra and Miguel, Yolanda Rodriguez and Charlie,Candy Guerrero and Cosmo; Sons, Jose Sifuentes and Elodia, Willie Sifuentes and Janie, Johnny Sifuentes, Serjio Sifuentes, Sam Sifuentes and Gloria; 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on July 7, 2016 from 4-9 PM and a funeral service will commence at 10AM on July 8, 2016. Interment will immediately follow. All services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
