Juanita G. Medina

Juanita Gomez Medina, 83, born to Nicolas & Jesusa Gomez on August 29, 1932 in Houston, Texas. Juanita went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2015. Juanita was married to Pedro for 66 years. She belonged to Catholic Daughters of America, Court Mother of Charity # 1713. She worked as a Cosmetologist for many years along with working for Methodist Hospital as Ward Clerk. She loved to bake cakes and cater cakes for weddings and birthdays. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents: Nicolas & Jesusa Gomez; children: Gloria Medina, David Medina and son-in-law, Dale Hughes; sisters: Anita Rodriguez, Beatrice Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Glenna Medina; brother: Rudolph Gomez, and brother-in-law Roy Rodriguez; She is survived by her husband, Pedro (Pete) Medina; children: Bill & Ninfa Rankin, Pete Richard Medina, Juanita Hughes, George & Mary Phillips, Albert Medina, Johnny & Cynthia Leal; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Luis Medina; sister-in-law, Adelpha Gomez; along with numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11th from 5-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm in the Family Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am, Monday, January 12th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St., Hou., TX 77009. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed greatly
