Juanita Ruth Knuckles

She was preceded in death by her father Edgar Lee, her mother Bonnie Joe Cole Lee, and two brothers, Johnny and Billy.

Juanita was a very caring person. She spent her life taking care of the elderly. She had a big heart and would give you her last dime or the shirt off her back if needed.She loved to travel and lived in Indiana, Oklahoma until she came back home to Houston Texas where she lived out her remaining years at Pilgrim Place. Juanita had a daughter in 1968 which she gave up for adoption. In 2019, that daughter reconnected with her.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Freeman, Ada, Oklahoma; a sister Donna Lee of Lampasas, Texas; two nephews Jimmy Lee Walston of Jamestown, Arkansas, and Edwin Ray Walston; two nieces Judith Louise Mattock of Killeen, Texas and Jo Stanli Walston, of Lafayette, Louisiana.

A visitation for Juanita will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. A burial committal will occur Monday, October 23, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas.
