Juanita Gutierrez

Juanita Gutierrez, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away February 8th 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29th 1922 in Lockhart, Texas to Luisa and Patricio Torres. Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Simon Gutierrez. She leaves us with many beautiful memories that will be forever cherished. Juanita will be truly missed by those that knew and loved her as a kind, generous and giving person who always put the well being of others before thinking of herself. Juanita will always be remembered for her excellent homemaker skills, she enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing; she was a wonderful role model to her daughters. She is survived by daughters Elizabeth and Veronica Gutierrez, Mary and son-in-law Mark Indihar, grand-children Jason Joseph, Andrew Simon, and Jessica Madalyn Indihar, Brother-in-law Jose Gutierrez and sister-in-laws Herminia Gutierrez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Alicia Gutierrez and Lorenza Guajardo and her niece “daughter” Angelita Gutierrez-Oliver, dear friend Arnold Esparza and her only surviving sibling Emily Lopez as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2012, 5pm -9pm. A rosary will be recited at 7pm later that evening. The funeral procession will depart Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Monday at 9:30am for a 10am Funeral Liturgy at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 7539 Ave. K, Houston, Texas 77012. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Houston, TX.
