Joyce Senior passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, and is now with the love of her life, John Montgomery, and her Lord, Jesus Christ. She is survived by: daughters Debra Blackburn and her husband John; Donna Banning and her husband Reverend Steve Banning. Her grandchildren are Chad Blackburn and his wife Aura; James Banning; and Amy Vickers and her husband Justin. She also has eight great-grandchildren: Brittany, Junior, Brianna, Jeremy, Jacob, Kaleb, Isabelle and Angelina. Also, Joyce is survived by Alan's family: Eric Senior, stepson; Jill Nokes and Susan Athene, stepdaughters; and 3 grandchildren.
Joyce was very active in the community. She was involved in several organizations including: Sugar Land Garden Club, Fort Bend Museum Docents, and Fort Bend Republican Women's Club. She was past president of each of these groups. She was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Baptist Church and the Encouragers class. She was also very proud of having been awarded Woman of the Year of Fort Bend County by the Republican Women's Club and the Tribute to the Women from the Texas Federation of Republican Women.
Joyce was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a friend to many people and loved by all that knew her. She will be greatly missed.
