She was born in Oquin, Texas on August 4, 1929 to Oswald and Viola Beiersdorfer. On February 3, 1951 she married George A. Barta, Jr.
Joyce has a career as a housewife and mother. She was also a member of the board of directors of CatholicLife, and had a passion for dancing. She was a country girl at heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, George A. Barta III; brother, Vernon Beiersdorfer; and great grandson, Robert Evan Capuchino.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Joy Caka; sons, Tim Barta and Chris Barta; daughters-in-law, Mary Barta and Sandra Barta; son-in-law, Robert Caka; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Annie Mae Beiersdorfer.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Pat H. Foley & Company, with a rosary at 7:00 pm.
A rosary and funeral will be held at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas on July 6th and 7th.
