Beloved son, grandson, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, friend and soldier, went home to be with his Lord on Oct. 22, 2010
after a tragic motorcycle accident.
Baptized in the Lutheran Faith September 1, 2002 and confirmed on the 4th day of June, 2006.Joseph actively participated in mission trips
sponsored by The Family of Faith Lutheran Church.
Joseph attended Cypress Springs High-School, where he was a member of the Air Force JROTC, and graduated class of 2008. Joseph enlisted in the Army National Guard on June 12, 2008 and graduated from Ft. Benning, Ga. in the
198th Infantry Brigade, 1st Batallion, 50th Infantry Regiment, Alpha Co. and was assigned to HHC 1-141st Infantry Batallion Texas Army National Guard as an 11B Infantry Scout. After returning home from boot-camp,
Joseph again became involved in martial arts at K2-Karate as an
Assistant Instructor, teaching blocks, forms, and self-defense.
Joe's other passions included cars and motorcycles.
Joe is survived by mother and father, Bonita and Juan Alvarez;
1 sister, Deanna and husband, Phil Hofstetter; 5 brothers, Miguel and
wife Maria, Johnny, Joshua, Ralph and wife Kristina Klodzinski,
John Payne, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a great-nephew. All of whom are too many to name, but all loved.
Joseph was a very charismatic person who touched many
people's lives, in ways he could not imagine. He is deeply loved and will be missed by all.
A military ceremony will be conducted by military personnel
from the Army National Guard.

The family will receive friends on Monday October 25, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home Cypress Creek 9149 Highway 6 North Houston. The Religious Service will be held at Brookside Cypress Creek Chapel on Tuesday October 26th at 11:00am. Interment via escorted cortege at Brookside Cemetery.
