Siempre estáras en nuestros corazones.   Un gran ejemplo de  esposo, padre,  abuelo. Y bisabuelo.  Un hombre de buenas virtudes y de gran carácter.   El mejor "Papi Pepe ' que un niño puede tener en su vida y especialmente en su infancia.   Descanse en Paz, José Tamez.  Mi más sentido pésame a toda su familia.  Y un orgullo poder compartir la vida con "Papi Pepe".

Saying  goodbye is never easy, especially when that loved one was an amazing person. Mr. Jose Tamez,  or "Papi Pepe" as we called him with love, was truly an exemplary man of great virtues and integrity.   An intellectual and determined  man, yet nurturing and loving.  He was the greatest grandfather a kid could want.  My best memories are of me taking my son Francisco, to his office,  he always had something special for him.  Even as my little monster ransacked his office he would tell me, "let him be", my son was his only grandson for 11 years, that's alot of "Papi Pepe time, to enjoy for a lifetime "  he would always have a collective antique car for him.   My munchkin was loved and spoiled by his loving grandpa.   To me he was the father I never had, I can't elaborate more than what an awesome father figure he was.  I loved taking  my children shopping for him, it was always a book, either about baseball,  or war history... or a collection of music,  through time he became the adopted grandfather for my daughters Carlyjosephine and Haileystar,  and together with Francisco we enjoyed having him in our lives.   He always made me feel special.   He became a great-grandfather to my grandaughter Zaya Maria. A blessing to share life with him.  I will cherish every moment and forever hold him in my heart.  Heavenly hugs and kisses to a beautiful person,  "Papi Pepe" Rest in Peace.

Mi Papi Pepe, como lo llamaban todos sus nietos, fue un hombre maravilloso, chistoso, paciente, amoroso, respetuoso, generoso, que siempre estuvo disponible para cualquiera que lo necesitara. Pero él era mucho más que eso, era un hombre educado, bien leído, tenía talento musical, tocaba la guitarra desde que era joven y más tarde en la vida, aprendió a tocar el piano / teclado. Era trabajador, nunca supe que se tomara un día de descanso. No se hubiera retirado si fuera por él. Se entristeció una vez que cerró su oficina, pero afortunadamente, mi hermosa Mami Peri instaló un pequeño rincón en la sala para que continuara sirviendo a algunos de sus clientes más leales. Como padre fue justo, de voz suave, humilde y dirigiendo por el ejemplo. Siempre me hizo sentir que estaba orgulloso de mí, Él quería que creciéramos sintiéndonos independientes, no confiando únicamente en ellos, pero nunca nos hizo sentir que no podríamos contar con ellos. Su actividad favorita era contarnos sobre la historia familiar, me encantaron esos momentos. Mi papa era un caballero. Me enseñó el respeto propio. Me enseñó el amor propio. Era un buen esposo, 49 años de casados con Mami Peri. Un buen proveedor A veces prescindir, para asegurarnos de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos y nunca se quejo. Él fue el ejemplo de hombre que crecí sabiendo que quería en un compañero. ¿Qué más puedo decir sobre mi Papi? Amo a mi Papá. Nunca sentiré que le dije eso lo suficiente, pero sé que nos queríamos mucho. Estas lágrimas ahora se deben a que deseo, egoístamente que él estubiera aquí, pero mi fe me da consuel. Algun dia no reunimaremos aya en el cielo.

My Papi Pepe, as all his grandkids call him was a wonderful, funny, patient, loving, respectful, generous man, who always made himself available to anyone that needed him. But he was much more than that, he was an educated, a well-read man, he was musically talented, having played guitar since he was a young man & later in life, he taught himself how to play piano/keyboard. He was hardworking, I never knew him to just take a day for himself. He wouldn't have retired if it were up to him. He was saddened once he shut his office down, but fortunately my beautiful Mami Peri setup a little corner in the family room for him to continue to be of service to a few of his most loyal clients. As a father he was fair, soft spoken, humble & led by example. He always made me feel he was proud of me & wanted us to grow up feeling Independent, not relying solely on them, but he never made us feel we could never learn on them. His favorite thing to do was tell us about family history, I loved those moments. My dad was a gentleman. He taught me self-respect. He taught me self-love. He was a good husband, married to Mami Peri 49 years. A good provider. Sometimes doing without, to make sure we had all we needed and never complaining. He was the example of I man I grew up knowing I wanted for a partner & husband. I love my dad. I will never feel I said that enough to him, but I know we loved each other so much. These tears now are because I wish, selfishly he was here, but my sense of comfort is my Faith. I pray God reunites us one day.

Mi querida famila... tia Pera y primos Jorge, Tita, Johanna y Jeannine. Se que no existen palabras que conforten, aminoren o calmen lo que sus corazones estan sintiendo por la lamentable pérdida de Tio Pepe... un gran ser humano, esposo, padre y abuelo y como tio fue increible. 
Solo Dios y tiempo al tiempo podran ir viendo luz de paz porque fisicamente él ya no estara, pero sabemos que espiritualmente sera un Angel para ustedes. Mis condolencias a todos en estos momentos dificiles, los abrazo con amor y estan en mi oraciones... QEPD TIO PEPE.
