Johnnie Robert Lawry, 82, passed away September 14, 2015 in Livingston, TX. Johnnie proudly served in the US Navy and had a 30 year career with the Houston Fire Department retiring with the rank of Senior Captain. He enjoyed hunting and built his own retirement home at the lake. Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents Charles & Johnie Lawry and sister, Marsha Gilman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jerry Lawry; brother, Dennis Lawry & wife Marie; sister, Sheila Crawford & husband Archie; step-son, James Nail & wife Karen and their children; many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
