John was preceded in death recently by the love of his life Joy, whom brought him so much joy, for the best 64 years of his life. He was also proceeded in death by a son, John Jr., and a daughter named Katherine.
His father was an Italian immigrant who opened his own business in East Houston called Trapolino Imports. John worked for his dad from a young age and began driving at 13 to make deliveries all around the Houston area.
John attended the University of Houston and worked many years as a rate clerk for Central Freight Lines, however his greatest passion was always working with guns. He was a salesman and gunsmith with Alexander’s Guns in downtown Houston and later with Sportmen’s Outlet in Humble.
Despite his professional successes, his greatest love in life was his family and there was nothing more important to him. He was the very best daddy and papa and had a way of making each of us feel special and like we were his favorites.
John is survived by his daughter Tina and her husband Chuck Olivier, son Frank Trapolino and daughter Theresa Hardin. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, with two more on the way, and a long list of extended family members. He will be so greatly missed.
