John David Stewart "J.D."

John David Stewart “J.D.” of New Caney, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10:00am. He was born in Warren, Arkansas on February 26, 1930 to Porter & Pervie Stewart. John met Georgia and they married on December 19, 1952. John worked at Metro for 34 years (1958-1992).

John is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Jean Stewart; mother, Pervie Loomis Stewart; father, Porter Robert Stewart; sister, Sylvia Kitchens; brothers, Robert Stewart and Jack Stewart.

Left to cherish his loving memory, sons: David Stewart, John Stewart & wife Karen; daughter: Nancy Miller; grandchildren: Keith Stewart & wife Uri, Kenny Stewart & wife Katie, John Stewart & wife Raquel, Chris Miller, Kevin Stewart, Lauren MacClintock & husband Jay, Micah Stewart & wife Madison, Kyle Stewart & wife Kassee, Dylan Brown, Jake Stewart, Jason Stewart & wife Stephany, and Jesse Stewart; great grandchildren: Brandon, T.J., Sophia, Johnny, Kenny, Payton, Cole, Colt, Coby, Tyler, Taylor, Chloe, Caleb, Alexis, J’Ana, Makayla, Liam, Krue, Caleb, Elijah, Lyla, Andrew, Luke, Brooklyn, Kynlee, Krew, and Winona.

J.D. was a loving husband and father, and he spent his whole life dedicated to each of them. He was a hardworking man with an admirable work ethic. He could do anything and if not would figure out how. J.D. was a true gentleman, who had a heart pure as gold. His faith was so strong and his unwavering commitment to serve our Lord, Jesus Christ was contagious. He loved music and gardening, and his love and passion for cars was one like no other. He was still a child at heart. A big kid we called him, and he wouldn’t let his age hinder him from doing something that his heart desired ever. Riding motorcycles and driving fast cars just gave him the added fuel his body needed to keep him young all these years. His eyes would light up just talking about them. He adored all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they were the absolute light of his life.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Miller, Jake Stewart, Jason Stewart, Jesse Stewart, John Darrell Stewart, Keith Stewart, Kenny Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Kyle Stewart, and Micah Stewart.
