John Daniel Schott, Jr., age 79, known by his loved ones as Jack, passed away in his sleep at home on January 10, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Linden, New Jersey to John D. Schott and Elizabeth E. Schott on March 4, 1939. He attended Seton Hall Prep and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth. Jack was known for his great sense of humor, quick wit, vigorous conversations and his loving soul. Jack is survived by his wife Francis D. Schott for 30 years and was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy M. DeSantis Schott on January 8, 1988. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Salzano and brother-in-law Vincent, his brother George Schott and sister-in-law Dianne. He was proud of his children Joseph Schott and his wife Cheryl, Elenor Hannum and her husband Eric, Patrick Schott and his wife Lisa, David Ferrari and his wife Tiffany and John Ferrari and his wife Susan. He was adored by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jack will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas, 77024.
