John Hill was my Mother’s friend and boyfriend for the last 14 years of her life, God bless her.
John was an accepted “member of the family” and we spent thousands of hours together.

His alleged wife was a person who was a cold blooded bitty who would not relinquish John from marriage, despite shacking with her boyfriend for years. He paid the money grubber as if they had split 50/50, she still would not settle-some crap about being Catholic...
Well, she may be Catholic but she has no morals, as evidenced by her lifestyle.

John had a MORAL relationship with my Mother. They did not live together or shack. She was a Christian-a practicing Christian.

John liked to dance all styles of dancing. He liked to travel to places he owned real estate, and there were quite a few places...
He loved to eat and he especially loved the all you can eat places!

He was a kind man-looking to harm no one.

John mistakenly trusted everyone. He always had a smile and he loved to buy gifts for the less fortunate. He was a good man who
just wanted to overcome his human heart problems-he’d had an undisclosed number of heart attacks and nothing the docs did could fix years of damage, but they tried.

John had plenty of friends and business associates who have and will continue to miss that good natured sweet man!!!!!

John, I’m sure you and Mother are together having a great time!!!!!!!

John was a dear friend of our family for 14 years, until our Mother passed away.

John and Mother met at the senior retirement/civic center in the latter part of November, 2000 and were thick as fleas from then on... dances, dances and more dances!!!

He was devoted to Mother and we all spent a great deal of time together and shared  a lot of time doing all kinds of crazy things together.

We were shocked to see how long he lived after the multi heart afflictions he suffered-it said a great deal about his character. He loved to eat at Golden Corral and it brought him great joy.

I was saddened to hear of his passing. His was a kind hearted and a warm and loving friend.
He will be missed.


Knowing John Hill for the past 50 years as my work associate, mentor, and one of my best friends, I will miss him greatly. 
Early in our relationship working for Cooperheat England we traveled the world in pursuit of expanding Cooperheat's presence worldwide.   We achieved great success and had great fun making memories during these years.  
Over the last 20 years our relationship has remained close by phone and visiting him in Houston.  John loved people, good conversation, good food and a good deal!  He especially liked reminiscing about jobs from years gone by...
You will be dearly missed our friend and always in our hearts...

I first met John Hill at the company where I worked on a Heat Treatment project. John Hill has just started his own business. He was very gracious and gives me good advice to do the job. Since then He becomes my mentor and a great friend. Over the years His advice guided me to better my carrier as an Engineer. We had some fond memory of going to America Welding show in various cities in the USA. In the last welding show which was in Las Vegas John Hill pass his years of knowledge in a recording titled “Interview with Legion “. This says it all He was legion in the field of Heat treatment – His dedication and knowledge will be greatly missed - Farewell Mentor and great Friend – Asif Latif

I don't exactly recall when we first met, but from that day forward we had a special relationship.
We attended many technical meetings and tradeshows together for the American Welding Society, 
even after his retirement.
John always had a story to tell and always found them to be both interesting and informative.
I actually had the privilege of  interviewing him for several hours in the penthouse of the Las Vegas 
Hilton back in 2012, where he provided many insights in regards to the birth of on-site Heat Treatment
and many other technological innovations, which he was a part of.
John, it won't be the same without you and will be sadly missed my friend

John Hill began his career as an electrical engineer with English Electric.  In the early 1950s, welding of thick wall pipe was at the edge of technical innovation.  Welds of heavy wall pipe frequently failed due to cracks.  To prevent cracks, it was necessary to heat pipe joints after welding to relieve stress.  Peter Cooper worked with John at English Electric.  Cooper recognized a need to develop reliable methods to perform post weld heat treatments.  Cooper left English Electric to start Cooper Electroheat.  Shortly after starting his company, Cooper hired John to design and build the first electric post weld heat treatment equipment.  The innovative equipment John Hill designed and built was an instant success and rapidly adopted around the globe.  John Hill came to the U.S. for Cooperheat to introduce this technology to America.  John Hill continued to innovate and refine the science of post weld heat treatment.  John was a key member of the American Welding Society, he wrote many technical articles, and lead development of the Hill Number, which defined how to properly heat treat heavy wall pipe.  John was a teacher and mentor to scores in the heat treatment industry.  John was a giant in his field, his legacy lives on.    

John was a good friend and a good fellow well met.  He will be missed.
