John Fletcher Davis Jr.

John Fletcher Davis Jr., 89, of Houston, TX passed away on August 1, 2017. He was born in Ringgold, LA on October 1,1927 to John and Eunice Davis. He was married to Isabel D. Davis for 54 years. John had an extensive career in the oil industry, working in exploration, traveling to all the continents, to every corner on this planet for Exxon. He always had a passion for nature and the world around him which included exploration, gemology, hunting, fishing, gardening, cultivation of orchids and bird watching.

He was preceded in death by his father John, mother Eunice, and his brother Zechariah Davis.

He is survived by his wife Isabel, sisters Nelda, Hazel, Nancy, Mary, Pearl, brother James, daughter Isabel, son John and his wife Vanessa, 4 grandchildren Kacie, Kellie, Anthony, Caelin, and 3 great grandchildren Alianna, Christian John, and Liam Fletcher.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation, service, and reception to follow beginning at 1:00pm on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.

Funeral Service will be held graveside at 9:00am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
