JOHN J. BEHAN (Jack), Age 86, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Jack was born in Orange, NJ. He lived in Nutley New Jersey until he and his wife, Elaine, moved to Missouri City, Texas in 1994. Jack & Elaine were married 50 years until her passing in 2008.
Jack was a proud veteran of the US Air force and a graduate of Farleigh Dickinson university. Jack started his career in banking at the Bank of Nutley, then also worked for Garden State National Bank then Fidelity Union/First Fidelity where he finished his career as Manager of the International Wire Services Dept.
Jack had many passions including golf, painting, spending time with family and friends at the Jersey Shore, and rooting for his beloved NY Yankees and Notre Dame Football. But his greatest joy in life was loving on and bragging about his 6 beautiful grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack A. Behan & spouse Amy; daughter Kathy Gallagher and her husband Dave; grandchildren: Jennifer & Christopher Gallagher, and Jordyn, Sarah, Lawson & Kyle Behan; his sister, Mary Clemis and brother, Tommy Behan and his wife Mary; along with many other loving friends and family. Along with Jack's wife Elaine, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Michael, his parents Michael & Rose, and his brother Joe.
Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 5th Street, Missouri City, Tx 77459 on Friday, May 18 with Visitation from 10am-11, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30am with Rev. Sunny Joseph, Pastor. Interment will follow and will be a private family gathering at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Road, Houston 77077).
