JOHN P. AUGUSTINE, born June 2, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, passed away Thursday afternoon July 8, 2010 in Houston, Texas at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his parents John Augustine Sr. and Louise Carlson Augustine. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Ellen Hu Augustine, son Quinntin J. Augustine, and brother Chuck Augustine. John holds a Masters in civil engineering and played catcher on a full scholarship for the University of Washington (Huskies). John’s transition to Houston helped launch his engineering career. He was well respected by his peers in the upstream Oil and Gas Industry. Through the course of his career, John held several executive titles for prestigious engineering firms such as ABB, Whorley Parsons, Paragon, and KCA-Deutag. John in his spare time enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball, football, fishing, fine wines and dark chocolate. The memorial service will start at 10AM on Thursday, July 22nd followed by a brief reception at Ashford Community Church.
