On July 29, 1954 a baby girl was born to Reverend James and Pearline Joseph in Houston, Texas whom they named JoAnn Joseph. JoAnn was introduced to and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She united with True Deliverance Ark of God Church under the leadership of Bishop Jesse L. Grace, Sr. In 2003, she moved to Humble, Texas and was united with Life Changers Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop David A. Montgomery, Sr. JoAnn was united in marriage to the love of her life Moses J. Collins in 2001, in which preceded her in death. It was easy to love her because she had so much love to give. Much of her life was spent caring for and sharing her love with her family and friends. She would quote you a scripture and tell you about what, "thus said the Lord." One thing everyone knew is that if you became hungry and need a good home cook meal or just a good cake Mama Joe's was the placed to be. On February 17, 2012, she had the sweet experience of closing her eyes on this side and awakening in the presence of the Lord on the other side. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband: Moses J. Collins; her parents: Reverend James and Pearline Joseph; one brother: James "Jr." Joseph; three sisters: Pearly Wade, Wanda Oliver, and Velma "Sally" Smith.
