I was reminded by Facebook today that it is Joan’s birthday. I did a quick search, just realizing that at her age you never know. When I saw that she died in November, I was sad. Joan was so gritty, I thought she would just keep going.
I knew Joan at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood. She was a joy to know, always ready with a quip, impatient with foolishness, adoring her family, just loving life. Unforgettable!
I can only offer you all my sympathy in this great loss. 

I have only positive memories of Joan, being such an incredible life force. As my aunt, I can't say enough about her strength and fortitude throughout her life. I know the relationship that she had with my Mum (Judy Mardon) meant a lot. Love always - Jennifer Mardon
