Jimmy Alva Rucker Sr., born November 21, 1933 passed away May 16, 2015. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Rucker; son, Jimmy Rucker Jr. and wife Darlene; daughter, Jean Smith and husband Patrick; grandsons, Brian Berendsen and wife Wendy Berendsen, Brandon Terrell and Josh Berendsen and wife Kasey; two great granddaughters and two great grandsons; brothers, Willon Rucker and wife Martha, Juan Dean Rucker and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Brookside Funeral Home Grand Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
